At English By Louise, we want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. That includes people who use assistive technology, keyboard navigation, screen readers and people who need clearer layouts or simpler language.

Our accessibility commitment

We aim to make this website accessible and easy to use by:

  • Keeping layouts clean, consistent and mobile-friendly

  • Using clear headings and readable text with good spacing

  • Making buttons and links easy to identify and tap

  • Writing in plain English wherever possible

  • Adding alternative text to important images

  • Ensuring good colour contrast for text and buttons

  • Supporting keyboard navigation for key site journeys

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA where reasonably possible.

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of the website may not be fully accessible yet. For example:

  • Some embedded content (like videos) may have limits we cannot fully control

  • Some downloadable files (if used) may not always be fully accessible at first release

We actively improve these areas as the site grows.

  • Provide written summaries for key lessons

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We regularly review the site and aim to improve over time by:

  • Auditing key pages (Home, Start Here, Quiz, Waitlist)

  • Improving headings, labels and form fields

  • Checking keyboard navigation and focus states

  • Improving alt text and link clarity

  • Reviewing colour contrast and readability on mobile
